Kristina Donello is a freelance dance artist, movement educator, and Associate Director of Open House Arts Brooklyn. Her choreography has been chosen as a Critic’s Pick in Time Out New York, a Vimeo staff pick, and featured on VH1. Kristina's dance film work has been selected for presentation at The Historic Anthology Film Archives for the New Filmmakers festival & the Backup Festival in Weimar Germany. She has performed dance works for artists such as: Pele Bauch, Vampire Weekend, Ofelia Loret De Mola, The Antelope Project, AUNTS on a boat with Jessica Cook, Ventriculus, Noa Sagie; A dance project, Emily Faulkner Dance, Sarah Dahnke/Round Tuit & Purchase Dance Corps.
Kristina's participation as Associate Director for Open House Brooklyn has involved the curation of art and performance exhibitions, program development, and creative arts leadership for youth workshops focused on dance, yoga and the healing arts. Kristina looks forward to expanding OH BK’s mission of creating accessible venues for the art community and offering participants opportunities for artistic growth and exposure.
Kristina is a graduate from the Dreyfoos School of the Arts and received her BFA from the Conservatory of Dance at Purchase College. Additionally, she received her yoga teacher certification from the Seven Centers school in Sedona, Arizona, CPT certification from the American council on Exercise, and level one herbalist certification at S.V. Apothecary in Brooklyn, NY.
